PROTECTIVE WAX

Réf. KE1

We have developed a protective wax to present the plancha of your TRIO.
If you don’t use your plancha for a long time, especially during the winter period, it is important to protect it well.
In order to avoid passing vegetable oil regularly, at COEO we prefer to apply beeswax to create a protective barrier between the plancha and the air and thus prevent corrosion from appearing.
You can also position the large lid on the griddle for added protection.

This protective wax kit includes :

  • 1 mahogany wood stand
  • 2 beeswax pins (lid)

Made in France in our workshops.

How do I prevent rust on the plancha of my brazier?

Beeswax is a great option to protect the plancha from rust.
It creates a natural barrier that prevents moisture from coming into contact with the metal, reducing corrosion.

Natural Beeswax Protective Wax Plancha Brazier

What is lidding wax?

Lid wax is the only beeswax that is free of pollutants, as it is a young product, recently secreted by wax bees. It comes from the lids that close the cells of the hive where the honey is stored.

NO CHEMICALS

The hive lids are stretched by the bees shortly before harvest when the honey reaches a sufficiently low level of humidity to guarantee its preservation.
The lid wax is therefore free of the chemicals that are too often found in most waxes on the market !

Step 1: After using your TRIO brazier, wait for the plancha to cool down.

Step 2: when the plancha is lukewarm, apply the protective wax pin in circular motions. Cover the entire plancha, including the edge (edge) of the plancha.

Step 3: Wait for the wax to crystallize. A white protection will form. It is this protective film that prevents the steel of the plancha from being in contact with the air and thus prevents rust from forming !

Step 4: when the plancha is totally cold. Place your large lid onthe plancha of your cooking unit.

When you light your brazier again, the wax will melt and you can scrape off the wax with a spatula. The lidding wax does not pose a health hazard. You can cook again on your plancha without first washing.
