The gate is the essential accessory to prevent food from slipping into the fireplace while cooking. It also allows you to vary the cooking levels on the fire.
During the production process, the TRIO plancha is slightly inclined by a dedicated press to allow a natural flow of grease towards the centre of the hearth. When the plancha rises in temperature, this inclination is accentuated, which can cause food to fall into the fireplace.
The barrier serves as a central ring of support by forming a rim that prevents food from falling into the hearth.

With the barrier installed on the inside edge of the plancha, the food is retained and does not fall into the bowl when handled with the tongs and spatulas. A slight gap remains to allow grease and food residues to drain away.
The barrier of the TRIO plancha barbecue brazier has been developed for optimal use of your cooking units and allows you to combine cooking modes:
- Prevents food from falling into the household
- Allows you to position the removable central part of the grill closer to the fire for cooking flush with the plancha, especially when you don’t want to make a large fire and/or arrive at the end of cooking and want to take advantage of the heat of the embers

We have designed the barrier of the TRIO plancha brazier in such a way that it allows you to combine direct and indirect cooking methods, and at 2 different heights: far from the brazier hearth as well as close to the brazier hearth.
Combine it with the removable grid (GD82).
